Requirements for the organizers
of complex competitions for foil and saber
using
“StM WIRELESS 2000” -
Tableau “Last 32” – ind.,Tableau “Last 8” – teams.

on 4 "color" pists and on final podium.

1. The weapon control service needs to check strictly all personal weapons and all personal special conductive T-shirts* for foil and for sabre:
- for conformity of resistance of a T-shirt to the FIE rules –
for saber: the maximum electrical resistance:
  - between any two points of conductive fabric of a T-shirt (including two tails for connection of crocodiles) must be not more than 15 Ohms;
for foil: the maximum electrical resistance:

- between any two points of conductive fabric of lumbar (belt) part of a T-shirt (including two tails for connection of crocodiles) must be not more than 15 Ohms;

- between any point of conductive fabric of lumbar (belt) part (including two tails for connection of crocodiles) and any point of conductive fabric on sleeves or on the field of a neck of a T-shirt must be not more than 50 Ohms;
- for conformity of resistance of a foil (weapon) to the FIE rules - the maximum electrical resistance must be not more than 10 Ohms;
- for impossibility of fixing of a non-valid hits at lateral influence on a point (without its full pressing);
- for impossibility of fixing of a non-valid hits at lateral impact blade of foil in a rigid surface.
* All T-shirts, satisfying to the above-named technical requirements, should be marked by the weapon control service.

2. Conductive part of the bib and two conductive flaps of each mask for foil must be checked by the weapon control service. There conductive characteristics must be the same as for athletes electric vests - according to the FIE rules.
Electric resistance between flaps and conducting part of the bib should correspond to the FIE rules for correct reflection of touches. “Bad” flaps must be cut or marked “X” by the weapon control service.
It is very important for the wireless – conductive flaps of a foil mask are used for fixing of touches on the “illuminated” mask.

3. The control of readiness of athlete (in full equipment) to fencing for the wireless should be carried out with one personal weapon – foil, sabre and one cable which have been tested by the weapon control service directly before beginning of preparation to fencing for the wireless.

4. For provision of reliable blocking of touches in a metal (conductive) piste - all pistes should be isolated electrically from any metal constructions and their connection to the earthed network must be eliminated.

5. In case a metal (conductive) piste is put on the floor of reinforced concrete - the thickness of the isolating covering between such piste and the floor should not be less than 5mm (it is very strictly!).

6. For realization of blocking of touches in a metal (conductive) piste on a final podium – additional metal (conductive) piste is needed*. It must lay on the floor under the podium and be isolated from the work metal (conductive) piste. This additional piste can lay freely - without fixing to the floor.

* Only in case if a final podium located in a separate area (premise, hall, arena etc.) of the four coloured pistes.

7. For realization of impossibility of fixing of touches on “illuminated” masks - at the end of fight (or its period) corresponding scoring machines* must be used.

* Such types of machines has additional standard RJ45 output “blocking of fixation of touch (hit) after the fight time is over” (for machines made by Favero, Italy) or corresponding additional unit (for machines made by allstar-uhlmann, Germany and Marciano, France) made by manufacturers of scoring  machines.

8. For full 100% identity of indication of all touches (hits) on “illuminated” mask and at the same time on the apparatus – scoring machines with special “wireless” mode must be used.

9. Three additional free power sockets are needed for only the wireless on each piste.

10. For technicians serving competitions for the wireless it is necessary to give a place (or a room) directly near a place for weapon control and call room. The area of such place (room) should be not less than 30sq.m., and inside should be present not less than:
- seven tables (standard size),
- eight chairs,
- eight free electric sockets,
- two points of Internet cable connecting (or free Wi-Fi zone).

11. For technicians serving competitions for the wireless it is necessary to give a room* for storage of equipment (better - directly near a place for the weapon control and call room). The area of such room should be not less than 6sq.m., and inside should be present not less than:
- one table (standard size),
- two chairs,
- two free electric sockets.

* Only in case if the organizing committee allocates for technicians a place, instead of a separate room closed by a key.

12. In a schedule of individual tournament should be stipulated time between the end of matches of Tableau “The Last 64” and start of matches of Tableau “The Last 32” – is not less than 30 minutes, and not less than 15 minutes – in case if all fights “T64 -> T32” spent on four pistes only.

13. In a schedule of team tournament should be stipulated time between the end of matches of Tableau “The Last 16” and start of matches of Tableau “The Last 8” – is not less than one hour, and not less than 30 minutes – in case if all fights “T16 -> T8” spent on four pistes only.

14. Volunteers which serve the color pistes and a final podium are obliged to watch and to keep up that both athletes on the piste - upon termination of fight - disconnected* wireless transmitters (“red” and “green”) and left them near the scoring machine.

* In case if it is needed – to help athlete.

!!! Attention for athletes and coaches:
Special conductive T-shirts for sabre and for foil differ from each other the area of a conductive fabric,  use sabre T-shirt for foil is inadmissible.
